You don’t need to buy any uniform for when your son / daughter first starts attending our groups – suitable casual clothes and footwear will be fine.
Once they’ve decided that Scouting is for them, you’ll need to get them a couple of items so they can be formally invested into the group.
For Beavers and Cubs the minimum requirement is an official sweatshirt and ‘necker’ (the scarf worn by all members of the Scouting organisation), but you can buy other items such as polo shirts and activity trousers if you like. Scouts will need a long sleeved shirt and activity trousers.
The uniform can be purchased from the following local stockists:
- Jackson's of Arley
- The Schoolwear Centre (formerly Jeans Station)
- Swifts of Hinckley
You can also purchase online from: www.scouts.org.uk/shop
The 'necker' can be purchased direct from us when your child is ready to be invested.
